There are six restaurants within the community with include the Devils Grill at the Devils Knob Golf Clubhouse, the Coppermine for elegant dining in the Black Rock Village and the Stoney Creek Bar & Grill in Stoney Creek. The Edge and Pryor's Porch both offer more casual fare. Catering and Conference Services also offer food services as does the Black Rock Market. |

Wintergreen is well known for its outstanding golf courses and programs. There are 45 holes of golf on two very different golf courses. Devil's Knob is Virginia's highest at nearly 4,000 feet with spacious approach plateaus and fast greens. Stoney Creek is a masterful Rees Jones creation which has earned international acclaim for design innovation and challenge. The Wintergreen Golf Academy immerses students in all aspects of the game for single and multi-day instruction from certified PGA professionals. Private instruction is also available. |

Tennis Magazine has ranked Wintergreen among the nations top 50 tennis programs for 14 straight years and last year ranked the Wintergreen Tennis Academy among the nations top 25 and for doubles instruction among the top 5 programs nationally.
There are 19 manicured clay courts in the two planned communities as well as three new Deco Turf indoor courts for all weather play. |

Swimming and Water Sports |

Renters can enjoy the Rodes Farm pool in Stoney Creek or the Chestnut Springs pool at the Mountain Resort. Lake Monocan features a sand beach and picnic facilities, paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, innertubes, as well as bikes, fishing poles, inline skates, and other equipment. Whitewater kayak clinics are also available for beginners and intermediates. |

With 20 slopes and trails, over one thousand feet of vertical drop, some of the country's best snowmaking and Virginia's only halfpipe; Wintergreen offers the Mid-Atlantic's best ski experience. Skiing magazine called Wintergreen's Highlands slopes "Best advanced terrain in the South." |

Wintergreen Nature Foundation |

Experts from our award winning Wintergreen Nature Foundation provide year round environmental education and activities for adults and children by offering a wide variety of guided hikes, lectures, field trips and symposia. Additionally, the Foundation assists property owners in preserving natural flora and species on their property through education, landscape assistance, and the cultivation and preservation of local species.
Our 40 miles of hiking trails through the private nature areas are maintained by the Foundation. Trillium House, the new home of the Nature Foundation, is an environmental education and research center in the heart of the community. The precepts of wise land stewardship and a love of nature bind residents of the community together. |

Horseback Riding |

Rodes Farm Stables at Stoney Creek offers a complete equestrian center. There are trails through the nature areas and rings for lessons, escorted rides, and trail rides as well as pony rides for the kids. |

Bike Riding |

There are paved bike trails throughout Stoney Creek and a full service Cannondale bike center on the mountain which is operated by the Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School with rentals, mountainbike lessons and trails along with 116 miles of rideable terrain. |

The Wintergarden spa features an indoor pool, hot tubs, aerobics, weight lifting and fitness area, steam, sauna, massage, cosmetology and luxurious personal pampering. There are aerobics, water aerobics, jazzercise, and Yoga programs to complement the sports offerings as well as personal trainers to assist with your personal goals. |

Wintergreen Performing Arts |

The Performing Arts programs at Wintergreen brings cultural offerings throughout the year which culminate in the Summer Music Festival with an orchestra in residence for several weeks. The Evans Center is home to most of these events. |

The Wintergreen Conference Center provides meeting services including a 40,000 square conference center for meetings and function space to serve residents and business meeting planners. |

Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School |

OWLS offers training in mountainbiking, rock and mountain climbing, rappelling, outdoor survival skills, caving, whitewater rafting, and kayaking. |

Activities are offered for children of resident families and guests. Kids in Action (ages 2 ½ - 12); Kids Night Out ages (6 - 12); Junior Explorers (ages 9 - 14); and Teen Adventure Camp (ages 13 - 17) are all award winning programs. Baby sitting services are also available. |
